BABYMETAL album certified as GOLD Record by Riaj! 

The BABYMETAL debut album was certified as Gold Record by the Recording Industry Association Of Japan. In the latest anlysis of 2014, BABYMETAL album was certified as GOLD by RIAJ. More details below. 

The Nippon Rekodo Kyokai, better known as RIAJ or Recording Industry Association Of Japan announced the Platinum Records and Gold Records of 2014. The RIAJ's activities include promotion of music sales, enforcement of copyright law, and research related to the Japanese music industry. It publishes the annual RIAJ Year Book, a statistical summary of each year's music sales, as well as distributing a variety of other data.

The BABYMETAL debut Album "BABYMETAL" was certified as Gold Record thank to the sales achieved during February 26 of 2014 (the release date) until December 31 of 2014. BABYMETAL shared the certification along with Ikimonogakari, EXILE ATSUSHI, Kinki Kids, JUJU, Nakashima Mika and BIGBANG. In Japan every Album is certified as Gold Record after 100.000 sold.
