BABYMETAL helping Amuse Inc. in terms of Sales and Live Shows
The line graph shows the transition of stock price of "Amuse Inc." in Japanese yen over the past couple of years.
As seen, since July 2014, it has soared significantly as compared with the past.
It may be fair enough to say that BABYMETAL has been one of the factors that contributes to the uprising trend especially since their start of World Tour in early July last year starting in Europe.
Due to for example their world tour, appearance in major rock festivals, opening act for Lady Gaga, big concerts in Japan, and etc., media coverage increased drastically during the period since last July.
Together with the coverage by conventional media, it is assumed that word of mouth on internet, especially on SNS, supported their promotion very strongly.
Recognition of band name, BABYMETAL, increased, and sales of concert tickets, CD/DVD, goods, and etc. increased accordingly.
"Golden cross" at which 25-day moving average exceeded 75-day m.a. took place in late June, which shows the momentum.
In accordance with the price increase, trading volume that is shown as bar chart at bottom increased (or vise versa).

Besides, pie chart shows the sales of their artist management business that covers all the artists belong to Amuse including BABYMETAL:
52% comes from ticket sales of concert
=> 8,769 M JPY or 74.3 M USD (Conversion rate: 118 JPY per USD)
30% from merchandise sales
=> 5,063 M JPY or 42.9 M USD
(Data: Q2/ 2014, actuals)
What do these numbers tell us ? Any key message ?
They tell how important it is for us to go to their concert and purchase their official merchandise/ goods, so that BABYMETAL (and other artists of the company) can continue their activities
It is our great pleasure to see that BABYMETAL is referred a lot in the presentation materials that were used at the briefing session of financial results in Novevember 2014.
Mr. Hatanaka, President/CEO, mentioned BABYMETAL specifically in his statement of strategic intent on their web site - that means that BABYMETAL is now positioned as a core strategic artist for Amuse Inc.
The girls, Su, Yui, and Moa, are no longer merely fancy & sweet teenage idols but brilliant entertainers for Amuse from business perspective.
Generally speaking, music market in Japan has been at "matured" phase over the years, therefore, it is imperative for the companies in music industry to seek for opportunities in overseas market.
In this regard, one thing to note is that a subsidiary company of Amuse, InterGroove Productions, was established in Nov. 2014, whose main objective is to manage concert and event of their artists in overseas in particular.
It is highly expected that BABYMETAL will continue to grow drastically, and entertain us a lot in 2015
