BABYMETAL won "The Biggest Surprise" Award on Metal Storm
The metal music Webzine from Estonia "Metal Storm Net" announced the winners of their Anual Metal Storm Awars. BABYMETAL was highlighted in two categories. Reached the number 11 on "The Best Debut Album" tied for the eleventh place with "Casualties Of Cool" and "Corrupt Moral Altar". BABYMETAL reached 7 votes over 511 in this category thanks to the "write-in vote" of the users.
Meanwhile BABYMETAL won the category "The Biggest Surprise" Award reaching 26 votes over a total of 425 votes. BABYMETAL overpassed bands like: "Benemoth", "Arch Enemy" or "DragonForce".
The official 10 nominees of each category of the Metal Storm Awards are decided by the staff members and receives a brief description and if available a link to an official Metal
Storm review. In additions to the official nominees, the users have the opportunity to supply "write-in" votes for bands not officially nominated.
