Besatsu Kadokawa Direct Volume 6 published on July 29 a special live coverage of the BABYMETAL World Tour 2015 in Mexico, Canada, United States, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria and Japan featuring the biggest BABYMETAL show to date at Makuhari Messe including exclusive photos of the BABYMETAL World Tour Photographer Dana (Distortion) Yavin.
In addition, Besatsu Kadokawa issue includes a special interview with BABYMETAL's producer, Kobametal. Read below:
Please tell your impression on the members during the world tour.
Kobametal: "They were nervous about the countries visiting for the first time but were also enjoying the circumstance I think."
How were the audience in those countries?
Kobametal: "It is different in every countries. We were thrilled with how the response would be untill the live started."
And the media response?
Kobametal: "Most of them were their first encounter just like the audience so the reactions were fresh. I think they were watching carefully even to our festival stages."
Were there chances to have conversation with other groups?
Kobametal: "Many people we had a talk with like Limp Bizkit and Judas Priest. Everybody welcomed us warm and knew well about us."
You’ve awarded from Metal Hammer as “Breakthrough Artist” while on tour. A large impact for metal fans as it is a magazine so famous.
Kobametal: "It was so honorable to be part of a historical and long awaited topic for Japanese artists getting an award in UK. Marilyn Manson gave us a standing ovation that was so unexpected."
How do you feel their step-ups after some tour experiences?
Kobametal: “We conquered many difficulties through our two world tours. We had brushed up our performance and presence and got a strong confidence.”
Which country does have a strong support in your opinion? Any other market you want to challenge?
Kobametal: “Especially US and UK I think we are very positively responsed. I can’t make every request negotiated but I want to go anywhere if any chance.”
Messe live in June was reported in so many major medias effecting larger recognition to girls and children. What do you think?
Kobametal: “There are many entertainment these days and trends change so fast. But with Babymetal I want to go its own way believing an ability as a pathfinder.”
