Interesting excerpt of HEDOBAN Magazine Volume 2 relased on November 20 of 2014 about the talk of the BABYMETAL producer Kobametal with Metallica's band members and especially Lars Ulrich (the drummer) who was watching the BABYMETAL performance in Osaka at the Summer Sonic 2013 on August 11 (show notes).

Q: So you finally met Metallica at Summer Fest Osaka, how was it?
Koba: "We were eating back stage. We're like there's Kirk, nothing unusual. Metallica is so cool, and we were all wearing a Metallica homage shirt. Then all of a sudden of the crew members started to point at the shirt. "What is going on?" is what was said. He had a Metallica pass, so we thought he was some kind of manager. We had no idea who it was. We were thinking we are in trouble... then all of a sudden "Where do you buy that?" "I want one." I'm like "Who are you?" and we started talking. "I am a photographer for Metallica." It was Ross Halfin. We started talking and we wanted to do a photo session with BABYMETAL."
Q: So it was spontaneous?
Koba: "Yes, the members were there so we introduce them and "Lars is coming so we'll take pictures then" it was really all of a sudden. (laughs) I was like what is going on. But Lars was coming in as BABYMETAL was going to perform. So I thought it was not going to happen. "Where and When" I was asked so I gave him the info and we said "later" and walked away. So we got ready to go to stage. When we got to the stage Ross Halfin was waiting, (laughs) calling to us "Photo! Photo!""
Q: Was Lars there?
Koba: "Lars came after, we were tight on time with the show starting, but he kept on saying let me take a pic."
Q: The pic we all saw was after the show.
Koba: "Yes the pics with Kirk and Robert were after. Lars came first, and I was like "What is going on ???""
Q: So you were not expecting Lars at all
Koba: "Yes I was shocked to see Ross Halfin. "Why are they here??" (laughs) The Flower Stage is the smallest stage at the fest, and they came all the way down... a headliner!"
Q: Yeah (laughs)
Koba: "My honest thoughts are "what just happened" I still don't understand it. It's not like we talked that much."
Q: From my perspective, I see Lars watching BABYMETAL from the side of the stage.
Koba: "That is such a strange sight. That the metal master bothered to come and see us makes me happy!"
