Knowing Basu No Kamisama BOH

Bohte Saisuke the 6 String God of Bass, better known as BOH, was born on August 14, 1982 in Asahikawa, Kamiwaka a subprefecture in Hokkaido. Asahikawa is the second largest city in Hokkaido after Sapporo.

BOH became interested in guitar and bass at a young age. When he was fifteen he began playing 4 string bass and started his first high school rock band. Since the beginning his bass playing has been influenced by his favorite bassists Billy Sheehan and Victor Wooten. His high school band played covers of their favorite bands and he would usually join other bands to play covers of other popular artists.

At 18 years old, BOH began playing the 6 string bass due mostly for his love and admiration of Billy Sheehans shredding and chordal play on the 6 string.

Upon graduating from high school, he attended Human Academy Music College" at Aoyama, Stringed Instruments Department of Music. There he studied under Tatsuhiko Wasada, a reknown Japanese bassist.

In 2004 he joined Aya with SUPER VIBRATION. The band released their first single "Shiny Days" on March 23, 2004 in 2 different versions. Their second single entitled "Miss You" was released on April 23 and their third single, "Bye" was released later that year on July 27.

On March 12, 2005 they released their first DVD "Aya with SUPER VIBRATION Act 1". Later that same month on March 25 they released their first album, "Asymmetry", a 12 track album.

Their follow up DVD, "Aya with SUPER VIBRATION Act 2" was released later that year on September 21.

On March 11 of 2006, the band performed for the last time in Tokyo on the bands 2nd anniversary. After the show, the band went into hiatus. Part of the "Aya with SUPER VIBRATION" discography can be found at HMV Japan.
