Report: BABYMETAL "Death Match 'May Revolution' Tour" 2013

Today in the BABYMETAL history but in 2013 started the first BABYMETAL Tour ever, the "Death Match Tour 'May Revolution'", took place in May of 2013 and was the first Tour with Kami Band. Read below the details.

 

The first BABYMETAL Tour with a Live Metal Band "Kami Band"

On March 31 of 2013 BABYMETAL announced their first Tour ever, the "Death Match 'May Revolution'". The tour was called as "Training Tour" by the girls because were their first full shows with Kami Band (the heavy metal support band). 

 

The Tour had 4 different setlist in 4 different shows. The first show took place at Osaka Big Cat meanwhile the other three shows took place at Zepp Diver City.

 

The Tour in the BABYMETAL Legend was considered as a new challenge to join the "May Revolution". There was an historic event in the world called "May Revolution" and took place in South America, actually in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Was a week-long series of events that took place from May 18 to 25, 1810, in Buenos Aires, capital of the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata.

 

BABYMETAL was based on this event to name the tour?

ABOUT THE TOUR: 

The first show took place at Osaka Big Cat on May 10. BOH the new God Of Bass for Kami Band debuted on this show. Since then he never missed a BABYMETAL show when they performed with Kami Band to date..

 

Also in the first show at Osaka Big Cat debuted a 5th Kami Band member "MIZ", Goddess of Violin. She performed on the four shows of the Tour a violin performance of Chopin's "Revolutionary Etude" during the encore of each show. At the moment she is the only woman as Kami Band member.

After that on May 17, BABYMETAL performed the second show of the "Death Match 'May Revolution Tour" at Zepp Diver City, this time with a new Setlist chosen by Su-Metal. On this show "Iine" reached 20 performances live.

On May 18, BABYMETAL performed their last 2 shows of the Tour, with a two rounds event also in Zepp Diver City. The first Show started at 14:00 Japanese Time. 

 


In this show the BABYMETAL song "Doki Doki Morning" reached 30 live performances.

While the second show was performed at 17:30 Japanese Time, at the same place. In this show the song "Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai" reached 10 times live.
