Through Billboard Japan SoundScan Japan announced the details of the amount of sales and trends in Japan during the first 6 months of the Year 2016, BABYMETAL's new album "Metal Resistance" is featured #9 in the Albums Chart, read more below.
Metal Resistance #9 on SoundScan Japan Half Year Albums Chart
Soundscan examined nationwide CD sales, software stores, bookstores, electronic stores, E-commerce companies to calculate the selling music data and video data during the first months of the Year 2016 from December 28 of 2015 to June 26 of 2016.
The Music Software amount in sales during 2016 is about 1.399 billion Yen, and sales number was about 5.056 million copies. In music (Albums and Singles) the amount was about 99.52 billion Yen in sales number around 4.400 million copies. In the section videos (DVD, Bluray, etC) the sales amount reached approximately 40.36 billion Yen in sales numbers about 6.56 million copies.
SoundScan Japan made a Top10 Ranking of the different sections featuring BABYMETAL "Metal Resistance" in the Albums Chart, in 9th position with 196.000 Albums sold in Japan, almost 200.000 copies sold in 3 months and Nogizaka46 Himeka Nakamoto's group (Suzuka's sister) new album "Sorezore No Isu" which sold 237.000 copies!.
