Oricon Style live report: Sakura Gakuin The Road To Graduation 2016 Happy Valentine
Sakura Gakuin composed of Elementary and Junior High School students hold two performances at day and night in "The Road To Graduation 2016, Happy Valentine" at Akasaka BLITZ in Tokyo on the 12th, showed off "Koi Dance".
At the beginning of the performance the Cooking Club "Minipati" and Purchaising Club "Koubaibu" appeared. Minipati first showed off a new song "Dabada Salad de C'est bon Avenue" which is recorded for the 7th Album "Sakura Gakuin 2016, Yakusoku" (Promise) to be released on March 3. Every year at Tower Records Cafe there is a collaboration for menu sales, this time is a salad theme. Momoko Okazaki (2nd Grade) revelead a behind the scenes story, "There is a choreography that mix salads, and the difficulty to bake an Okonomiyaki!"
When the 12 got onstage started, "Chime", "School Days", "Hello IVY" and then a series of popular songs. First the presentation of "My Graduation Toss", "Ganbare!!", after Aiko Yamaide (2nd Grade) shared memories of running to the Budokan in the music video shooting. Someday, she wants to aim Sakura Gakuin to play at Budokan, she admits her ambitions.
In the encore, the Students President Council (Leader) Sara Kurashima (3rd Grade) said: "Since is Valentine's Day I would like to give a lovely gift to everyone!". Then Sakura Gakuin unveiled "Koi" song of Gen Hoshino's with choreography in charge of Olympic Games Rio De Janeiro dance director Mikiko. The song surprised with Sakura Gakuin homeroom teacher Hayashi who celebrated his 39th birthday dancing the "Koi Dance" in the center. The venue shouted and laughed with joy.
Mori said, "I practiced a lot for today. Althought I'm a teacher all the time, during the dancing lessons, the members pointed out different things all togheter", he revealed laughing.
In the evening performance, they first showed off a band performance of "Makeruna! Seishun Hizakozou", "Song For Smiling". Furthermore, put out Kana Nishino's "Moshimo Unmei no Hito ga Iru no Nara", Momoko Okazaki herself thaught the choreaography, she also directed and produced the performance. At last "message", the venue dyed in cherry blossom colors and became a Valentine's gift full of happiness.
